Allah Ta'ala says, 'Do not approach adultery. It is obscene and indecent behaviour.' (Surah Bani Israel, 32)

As punishment for adultery, Allah says, 'Flog both the adulterer and the adulteress with one hundred lashes.' (Surah Noor, 2)

Hadith Sharif describes the terrible punishment of adultery. Rasulullah (PBUH) said, 'O Muslims! Abandon fornication. Why not it has six punishments. Three of them will appear in this world and three in the hereafter. The three punishments in this world are, the luster of his countenance shall perish, his life shall be shortened, and his poverty shall be everlasting. And the three punishments that will be revealed in the Hereafter are, he will suffer the displeasure of Allah, severe reckoning and the punishment of hell.' (Bayhaqi, Ha No. 564)

On the authority of Hazrat Sahl Ibn Saad (RA), Rasulullah (SAW) said, 'I will be the guarantor of Paradise for whoever is the guarantor of the protection of the face and private parts.' (Bukhari: 7658)

Sometimes it is seen that alienation accumulates with the brother-in-law. Islam has also taken the reins of meeting Devar. Narrated by Hazrat Uqba Ibn Amer (RA), Rasulullah (SAW) said, 'Beware! Do not even approach women in private.' An Ansar Sahabi said, Ya Rasulullah! What is your instruction about Debor? The Prophet (PBUH) said, 'Debor is equivalent to death.' (Muslim, 2445)

In the interpretation of the hadith, Hafez Ibn Hajar Askalani. Fathul wrote in Bari, 'The equivalent of death here means haram.' And in Islam, the punishment for these is terrible. As a punishment for all these things, whipping and flogging have been prescribed in the hadith. So that no man or woman should indulge in such a horrible act.
